Two powerful passage areas that disclose how we can be in God's presence.  The "mercy seat" was the meeting place between Israel and God.  It was a vicarious meeting for the Nation.  Only the High Priest on that one day went into the Holy of Holies.  Heb 10:19-20  explodes with a New Way by the blood of Jesus.  His flesh was made the Way through the veil that was His flesh.  Under the New Covenant, we have access into God's presence.  How we should want  that possibility and exercise our desire to be there always. This thinking is nothing short of awesome!

Heb 9:5-8    and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail.  6  Now when these things have been so prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle performing the divine worship,  7  but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.  8  The Holy Spirit is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed while the outer tabernacle is still standing,
Heb 10:19-20   Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,  20  by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,

Our Prayer:
Father God, thank You for the beauty of Your plan to save us.  Help us to seek You with our whole might and desire, that we may truly abide in Your presence.  We want that eternally dear God.  In Jesus name,    Amen.
